@shiftlens ShiftCam Pro Grip

I picked up the ShiftCam Pro Grip last March and have come to appreciate it more and more as I use it.

While everything on the @shiftlens website seems to be geared toward using the Pro Grip with an iPhone, it has worked well with both my Pixel 7 and 8 Pros.

The Pro Grip comes with a hard shell case that has a cloth exterior and a soft cloth interior. The zipper feels sturdy and I have not had any issues over the last nine months of use. There is also a net material on the back that I use to hold the power cable.

The starter kit I purchase included the Cold Shoe Mount, Adapter, and ProGrip Hand Strap. I use the hand strap the most, it is well padded, adjustable, and well worth the price.

I haven’t used the cold shoe mount or adapter much. The mount allows you add a a light or microphone to the grip. I have tried using a microphone but , for me, it makes the grip feel clumsy and awkward.

The grip is well built and feels premium. It holds my phone securely and allows me to use it one handed and not have to worry about it falling.

The Pro Grip has the ability to work as a stand for my phone. I don’t use it that way, but I could see using it as a tripod for product shots. It also has the ability act as a power bank and charge phones wirelessly. A nice feature to have when taking lots of photos. There are seven LED lights on the grip that show the bluetooth connection (blue), wireless charging (red and green), and the battery level (white).

The Pro Grip reminds me of another accessory I loved with one of my favorite smartphones; the camera grip accessory for my Sunshine Yellow Lumia 1020.

While I can no longer recommend the Lumia I can recommend the ShiftCam Pro Grip. If you use your smartphone more as a camera than a phone you will appreciate the versatility.

Enjoy! You can find the ShiftCam Pro Grip at a discount on Amazon https://amzn.to/49izM3V

The Pro Grip’s matte black finish blends nicely with the matte obsidian of my Pixel 8 Pro.
