Cholula Hot Sauce – Chipotle

I have liked the Cholula brand hot sauce for years. It is spicy (not oh my god hot!) but has a good flavor. For me it has the right balance of vinegar and peppers.

The chipotle version of their sauce though is now my go-to for dishes that need some added flavor and heat. That’s right. FLAVOR and heat. The rich smokiness combined with vinegar, peppers, and a touch of sweetness makes this condiment so much more than just hot sauce. This is the sauce you reach for when you want to add a complex depth of flavor to your meal. To add a richness to that bowl of salsa when friends gather. Or lend some smokiness to a grilled entree. This sauce is a flavorful addition to any dish. And if your food doesn’t have flavor, why are you wasting your time eating it? Life is way too short.

Breakfast

I find myself using the Chipotle Cholula Hot Sauce when I make tacos or enchiladas, but also find myself reaching for it to kick my eggs up a notch, add heat to soups, and even give a punch to vegetables. I have even added it to mayonnaise to take a turkey sandwich up a notch.

While this sauce may not be the only one in my cabinet it does hold a prominent spot. I recommend the Chipotle @CholulaHotSauce to anyone looking to add flavor and heat to their meals. It won’t make your eyes water, but you may find yourself addicted and think that restaurants that don’t have it available, lacking. Great sauce!
