An ok seasoning IF you don’t have any roaster garlic seasoning and lemon.

I purchased the Citrus Pepper seasoning blend from @stonewallkitchen on a recent shopping spree and could not wait to try it. I love asparagus with pepper, garlic, and lemon so this was right up my alley.
The seasoning mix comes three to a package and has enough spice blend to flavor a couple of pounds of vegetables. The second time I used the seasoning blend I only used half of a package
T.he instructions are easy and preparation is quick. Simply toss your washed and prepped vegetables in oil and melted butter, sprinkle on the seasoning, and lay on a baking sheet. It almost took longer for my oven to warm up than it did to have the asparagus ready.
Cook time is from ten to fifteen minutes and you have some beautifully roasted asparagus.

The flavor though is only ok. There is not much citrus flavor for a product labeled “Citrus Pepper”. It is more like “Pepper and some Garlic”. I don’t want to sound like this is a bad product, more like it needs to be relabeled. The flavor of the seasoning is good, but not what I was hoping for.
My suggestion would be to use a good roasted garlic seasoning, some fresh cracked pepper, and then hit the asparagus with some lemon juice after you roast the asparagus. It will be what you are looking for.
I would not recommend the Urban Accents Veggie Roasters – Citrus Pepper Seasoning Blend.
