Oaxacamio – Cafe Pluma

And who said my high school Spanish would not come in handy one day?

Feather Cafe – if I translated this correctly. It’s also an artisanal, organic product.

I love coffee and received these beans as a gift and could not wait to try them. There was a pleasant aroma while the beans were being ground. I loaded five tablespoons into my French press while I waited for the water to reach boil and tried my hand at translating more of the Spanish on the bag.

I believe that the beans come from Pluma Hidalgo and are grown between 1,200 and 1,300 meters. It has unique characteristics. it is soft, aromatic and a high-quality product. Also proudly recognized 100% organic. I think.

After letting the water stand for about a minute to cool off to 200 degrees, I was ready to pour it over the grounds and wait four minutes for it to brew.

I poured the dark liquid into my favorite mug and inhaled deeply. Wonderful. The aroma that greeted my nostrils was very fruity, but not overpowering. With the first sip was smooth, rich flavor. There was very little bitter after taste that can accompany some roasts. Overall, the coffee was a welcome accompaniment to my breakfast.

I looked up the state of Oaxaca in Mexico while sipping on my coffee. It looks like a scenic area and from what I found online, has very good food. My kind of place.

I would recommend this coffee to anyone who likes a smooth coffee.
